With reference to the proposed Themes for the symposium, the conference invites contributions on new scientific and local knowledge as well as policy-related initiatives in the field of plastic pollution to discuss ways and means to reduce the impact of plastics on marine ecosystems. The symposium will include platform presentations, posters and panel discussions.

March 31 2026: Abstract submission deadline
May 31 2026: Notification of acceptance
Presentation types
● Platform presentations: Presentations should be 10 minutes and there will be additional 5 minutes allowed for questions and answers
● Poster presentations
Presenters should indicate on the submission form if they prefer a platform or a poster presentation. Depending on the number of submissions the organizers might assign platform to poster presentations
Abstract proposal requirements
- The presenter must be the corresponding author and is the point of contact for all communication with Organizers.
- The presenter must indicate the preferred type of presentation format (Platform or Poster Presentation).
- Submissions must use the template and should not exceed 300 words.
- Submissions of abstract should follow the template provided on the website.
